threads.com vs threads.net — Which Link Works for Downloads?
You may have noticed Threads links now use threads.com instead of threads.net. If you're wondering which one works for downloading, the answer is simple: both do. Here's what changed and how to download from either.
Why Did Threads Change Domains?
Threads originally launched on threads.net, sharing infrastructure with Instagram. Meta later secured and switched to the cleaner threads.com domain as the primary address. Existing threads.net links still redirect and work.
Both Domains Work for Downloading
SocialSave Hub supports both formats:
- https://www.threads.net/@user/post/CODE
Paste either one — the result is identical because both point to the same post on Meta's servers.
How to Download
- Copy the post link (threads.com or threads.net).
- Go to socialsavehub.com/threads-downloader.
- Paste and click Download.
What If My Old threads.net Link Fails?
If an old link doesn't resolve, open it in your browser first — it will redirect to the threads.com version. Copy that from the address bar and paste it into SocialSave Hub.
Download from threads.com or threads.net — both free and supported.
